Zach became the 2nd Iowan to win a major joining Iowan Jack Fleck who fought off legend Ben Hogan to win the 1955 US Open. In similar fashion Zach fought a charging Tiger woods to capture his first victory. Zach's strong faith in God helped him overcome severe weather conditions and a strong charge by several fellow competitors to win the coveted Green Jacket.
