1918 World Series Champions
The 1918 World Series came at the end of a season that was shortened by the government due to America’s entry into World War I. As a result, the annual Fall Classic became a “Late Summer” version. The Red Sox beat the Chicago Cubs in six games, with Babe Ruth taking a lead role early in his career.
2004 World Series Champions
The Red Sox began their never-to-be-forgotten 2004 streak when facing a 3-0 deficit against the rival New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series. They became the first team in Major League Baseball History to come back from such a deficit and win a series, and then proceeded to sweep four games
from a St. Louis Cardinals club that had led all ofbaseball with 105 victories during the regular season.
2007 World Series Champions
Like the 2004 American League Championship Series, the Red Sox found themselves facing a 3-1 deficit. After winning the first game the Sox stumbled losing the next three games. With a masterful come back, the Sox captured their twelfth American League pennant by outscoring the Indians 30-5 over the final three games, and proceeded to sweep four games from the Colorado Rockies. The Red Sox captured their second title in four years.
